This is Gianna.
Shortly after birth, Gianna was diagnosed with a rare metabolic disorder called CDG1K (Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation), a condition associated with global developmental delays and severe epilepsy. As a result of her disorder, Gianna developed intractable epilepsy and was experiencing more than 1,000 drop seizures each day.
In August 2014, with support from 420 Central in Orange County, California, Gianna began treatment with CBD oil. Within a few months, her family noticed improvements in cognition and awareness, but she continued to experience frequent seizures. In December 2014, THC was added to her treatment regimen, resulting in a significant reduction in seizure activity.
Today, Gianna's seizure frequency has decreased by approximately 90%, and she continues to make meaningful progress. Her cognition, awareness, and communication skills have improved dramatically, and she has begun forming words and becoming more vocal.
Although Gianna still lives with daily seizures, she continues to face each challenge with remarkable strength and determination.
Gianna and her mom inspire hope, perseverance, and courage in everyone they meet.

Levi faces many challenges, but he is a fighter who never gives up.
By the age of one, Levi was diagnosed with two catastrophic and drug-resistant seizure disorders: Infantile Spasms and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS).
Since then, he has tried more than 20 anti-seizure medications, yet seizures remain a part of his daily life. Like many individuals living with drug-resistant epilepsy, Levi continues to search for treatments that may help.
Jennifer continues to advocate for epilepsy awareness, research, and better treatment options for those affected by epilepsy. Together, she and Levi embrace life's adventures and strive to make the most of each day.
